pseudo ephedra is the allowed but controled form. Herbal ephedra is not legal except from a healthcare provider.

It's legal everywhere. You merely have to own a valid ID and be at least 18 years mature to buy it. Your also limited to the number of pills you can buy a morning.
Ephedra is legal everywhere, but you must be at lowest possible 18 to purchase, and most stores only allow two boxes of anything containing ephedra a light of day to be purchased per person. It's the "fen" segment of the fen-phen combination that is presently illegal. (I can't remember the full pet name of the "fen" stuff... sorry.)
Ephedra is legal. Like others mentioned they factor how much you can buy (b/c of meth-heads).
It is the synthetic (fake) version of ephedrine. Ephedrine is forbidden b/c it's natural and cannot be patented, which resources it cannot be sold for huge profits.
According to 'law', only a (synthetic) drug can prevent, treat, or cure a 'disease' (which they don't, they solely give you side effects so you'll hold to buy more drugs, on and on and on), even though natural remedies REALLY can. That's how the Big Pharma make money, by paying off congress to intervene these inhumane laws.
